Classmate Portraits

I'll be emulating George Hurrell, a famous hollywood photographer from around the post-World War II era. He shot stars like Humphrey Bogart, Greta Garbo, and many others. Some examples:
Gentlemen, wear suits if you have them. If not, go for a shirt and tie, or as last resort, just a button up shirt. Ladies, wear dresses if you can, if not, just wear what you think looks nice. These are fairly formal.
Also - I have gotten myself docked for 6 days, just in time for the shoots this weekend. So if anyone else will be using a studio or kind enough to check one out, it would be greatly appreciated if I could use it as well. =/

Thanks,
Joe.

  3. I know lol. I'm pretty stoked. Don't be surprised though if there is more than a little bit of work done to your shot in post-processing though. I figure if he was allowed to have numerous assistants spending hours retouching each negative, I can take 15-20 minutes in photoshop.

  4. hey, check out http://www.art-dept.com/artists/roy/ . It's similar hollywood style glamour, but a little bit more contemporary. Might give you some ideas.
