Dear Classmates,
Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are an up and coming dynamic duo in the fashion and advertisement industry. Their whimsical editorial style immediately caught my eye and since then I can't stop "googling" at their work.
For my project I will be emulating their fairytale style, use of overhead lighting, faded blacks, and vintage jewel tone color scheme. I have changed my mind about the clothing I need you all to bring. If you could all bring your most interesting pair of jeans (dark wash is preferable) that would be much appreciated! If any of you have a plain white or red t-shirt (v-neck or crew neck is fine) it if not just let me know via e-mail (bmm9097@rit.edu) I can always make a run to Jo-ann's and grab a couple. I should be finished constructing the crate by friday (hopefully), if not monday at the latest. I aim to shoot during a block of time during one day next week. If you all could email me the day when your the least busy that would help me so much. From there I will try and have an 8 hour block open in the photo house studio ( NRH 4th floor, make a right out of the elevator go all the way down the hall). The shoot should hopefully only take about 15 minutes per person. Makeup wise, Girls if you could just prime your face accordingly (foundation, cover-up) and bring a black liner with you (if you have one). Don't worry about eye shadow or blush I will have those in the studio. This should be really fun and painless!
